Over the years our church has supported the Christian charity Tearfund by raising funds to help poor communities in different parts of the world. Tearfund and Cord have come up with a scheme called Toilet Twinning which is a new and unique way of supporting people for whom good, clean, safe sanitation is a luxury – not a given. For just £60 anyone can twin a toilet and the donation will help provide improved sanitation, clean water and promote hygiene in poor communities. When you twin your toilet you will receive a framed certificate with a picture of the toilet you are twinned with and its location which you can then hang in your own toilet. Recently we twinned both our toilets at church – it is also a unique gift to give someone for a special birthday of anniversary.
